Friends of Wildwood

Britain is one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world. But it doesn't have to stay that way.

Friends of Wildwood is a way to stand with us as we work to restore native species, revive damaged landscapes, and help nature recover across Britain. Even if you have never set foot in one of our parks.

This is an armchair membership for people who believe in rewilding, conservation, and a future where British wildlife can thrive again.

Help bring British wildlife back, wherever you are

What is Friends of Wildwood?

Friends of Wildwood is about backing real conservation work, from species recovery and habitat restoration to research, advocacy and long-term landscape change.

As a friend, your support helps:

Restore habitats for native British wildlife

Support breeding, reintroduction, and recovery programmes

Fund expert conservation work on the ground

Give wildlife a stronger voice in Britain's future

You're joining a community that believes Britain can be wild again.

What you'll receive as a Friend

As a Friend of Wildwood, you'll be kept closely connected to the impact you're making:

Conservation updates from the field: Stories, progress reports, and honest insights from the people doing the work.

Behind the scenes insight: Learn how rewilding works in Britain, why native species matter, and what it really takes to restore ecosystems.

Friends-only talks and online events: Join digital talks and Q&As exploring species recovery, rewilding, and the future of nature in the UK.

Your annual Friends impact report: See how your support has helped nature recover, from habitats restored to species protected.

A sense of belonging: You'll know you are part of a collective effort to reverse wildlife loss and give nature space to return.

What Friends of Wildwood is not

We believe in being clear. Friends of Wildwood:

Does not include free entry or access to Wildwood parks

Does not replace Wildwood membership

Is not a visitor scheme

If you love visiting our parks, Wildwood Membership is the best way to support us. If you want to support conservation wherever it happens, Friends of Wildwood is for you.

Why your support matters

Nature recovery takes time, expertise, and sustained commitment. By becoming a Friend of Wildwood, you are helping to:

Give endangered British species a future

Restore ecosystems, not just protect fragments

Support long-term conservation thinking, not quick fixes

This is support that allows conservation to happen even when it's out of sight, but never out of impact.
