Sir Roger Gale MP for North Thanet has lent a helping hand today feeding the rescued bears and Lynx at Wildwood Trust. Sir Roger has been a helper at Wildwood for over 20 years giving advice on setting up the charity and even emergency help at the Brambles wildlife park which Wildwood grew out of. Sir Roger came to Wildwood this week to learn more about our charitable aims of rewilding Britain and our forthcoming appeal to build a ground breaking residential rewilding education centre.
Welcome to the April edition of our monthly newsletter. In this issue we're reporting on a couple of births at the park, the building of an exciting new addition to the play park and congratulating one of our trustees on receiving a prestigious award. If you wish to know more about any of our stories or The Wildwood Trust in general, then please feel free to email us at email@example.com
Thanks for reading and your continued support. We'll see you again in May!
After a few months in semi-hibernation, our bears are now fully awake! They will be let into their large enclosure at 11am on Friday 24th March and you can win the chance to reintroduce them back into their woodland playground.
All visitors entering Wildwood before 10.45 on this Friday morning will be given a free raffle ticket. The winning ticket will be announced at the bear enclosure at 11am and the winner will be pulling the sliding doors and releasing the bears! Our bear bridge will also be opening for the summer and, as always, gives wonderful views over the whole of the wooded area.
Come down and help us welcome our bears to 2017...it'll be a great day!
It's that time of the month again when we let you know what's been happening at the Wildwood Trust and what we have planned for the near future. We have lots of exciting events at the park during Easter, Spring news, an avian update and some upcoming fundraising events that you can get involved in.
It's been a busy month. We have had a visit from the Lord Mayor of Canterbury to welcome our new choughs to the park, we've had six new wolves arrive at our Escot park and they're settling in well, our hibernating animals have woken up and the bears are close to being moved into their large enclosure. Read below to find out more!
