Aimed at youngsters (age 7 – 11) with a keen interest in working with animals, our Junior Keeper Experience is a fun, engaging, hands-on introduction to life as a Zoo Keeper.
Under close supervision and in small groups, participants will be allowed behind the scenes at Wildwood Escot to interact with a number of our animals preparing and providing feed and enrichment. During the session, the Junior Zoo Keepers will get an authentic taste of what it is like to work closely with our iconic British species.

Things to know before you book:

  • The parent or guardian of the child will need to fill out the downloadable Junior Keeper Booking Form, which can be returned to us by email at EscotEducation@wildwoodtrust.org
  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your experience time.
  • Suitable for children ages 7 to 11.
  • Limited to six Junior Zookeepers per session, so that each participant has a hands-on experience.
  • Please note that our experiences are very popular and book up quickly. All voucher holders are advised to book their experience as soon as they can to avoid disappointment.
  • Cancellations must be made at least 14 days before the date of the booking. Any cancellations made after this time will not be refunded.
  • Wildwood Trust reserves the right to change or cancel any dates for reasons such as extreme weather conditions or animal welfare issues and we will endeavour to notify you as soon as possible.
